I am a nursing student currently attending CSULB. I am originally from Lebanon and I have lived in the U.S for ten years. Throughout my life, the Lord was always distant and seemed almost untouchable to me. As I matured, my hunger for the truth increased. I sought for satisfaction and peace in relationships, school, knowledge, and even in denominations, yet all of these things left me feeling empty inside. All that the world had to offer appeared great outwardly, but in experience it didn’t quench my thirst.
However, by the Lord’s mercy, I met many real lovers of God in the local church!! I was so attracted by the shining God in them when they shared the Gospel with me on campus one day. I became aware that God wanted to make his home in people so that He could be expressed through us. I began to enjoy Him day by day by reading His Word, praying, and singing hymns with other believers. The ministries of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee really supplied me with God’s truth and practical lessons, not just with mere knowledge. The local churches express the Body of Christ, which is made up of all believers who are born of God.
My life has changed from being a lost soul in this dark world to seeing who God is and his purpose for me. From my innermost being, there is a fountain of life that never runs dry. The Lord is my daily supply now, and I love Him and praise Him for all that He is, and for what he has shown me.
